DOCUMENTING BIRTHS & FIRST MOMENTS OF LIFE

The journey of new life.

Unfortunately, at this time of pandemic and as I now have a baby and toddler to care for, I’m not currently accepting birth photography bookings.

If you are interested in having photographs prior to, or after, the birth of your little one, please do get in touch as I am accepting all other bookings(subject to government regulations).

The moment your baby comes into the world is overwhelming. It’s a collision of the real and the imagined when the being you’ve been caring for as yourself for nine months emerges and is separate from you for the first time and forevermore.

Often, when people first hear of birth photography, they’re mistakenly of the belief that it is something clinical or graphic. They ask, ‘Why would anyone want photos of that?’ However, my approach to documenting your birth is as though I were your sister or friend. I am not a medical photographer, so it’s not anatomy that I’m intent on capturing. It’s the intensity, strength, power, and love that will be present, that you will see in your photographs.
